Visiting Halong Bay and you can experience very diverse natural landscape, varying from long sandy beach to thousand-year-old-lime karst. Halong Bay covers nearly 1900 islets of different size, some very large such as Thien Cung Cave or Surprise Cave, others as small as a few meters wide. Discover what you will see as you make your way to this natural wonder.

If you travel alone, don’t forget to pay attention on single supplement fee. Most of cruises operator on Halong bay don’t provide single cabin/room for solo travelers. But some did (such as Dragon Legend Cruise). If you choose to stay in a single cabin, you don’t have to pay for extra fee (but the single room/cabin could be smaller than a double one). 
 UNESCO reports that the numbers of visitors have climbed from 200,000 in 1995 to 1,7000,000 in 2002. There are many ways to experience the ethereal beauty of Halong Bay.
While central Halong bay has long been a tourist area, Bai Tu Long bay remains a less visited destination.

Although speedboats connecting Haiphong and Cat Ba Island have been operated recently, a considered number of tourists still choose traditional ferry to reach the island.
